Outdoor Worship Experience

About the Outdoor Worship Experience

It has been a long three months, and we are excited to open our “doors" for face-to-face church services! We can't wait to see you again in person, as we take another step in returning to normalcy. We invite you to worship with us this weekend at one of the 10 outdoor gatherings in Richland and Prosser.

We are committed to providing a safe, “touchless” experience for people coming back to church. While it may feel weird or uncomfortable, and is less than ideal, we ask everyone to abide by our safety requirements as a demonstration of loving, caring for, and protecting their neighbor. Here is what you need to know about attending an outdoor in-person gathering at Bethel during this phase:

1. We ask you to RSVP every week for a single service. This information will help us plan accordingly and keep our number limited to 100 per gathering. This information will not be shared with any outside party.

2. Each service will have a live host, with worship and sermon pre-recorded specifically for our in-person gatherings.

3. We will have digital bulletins available to use.

4. We will have ushers and greeters at each service, and you will be guided to a place to sit in a way that allows for social distancing of 6ft between households.

5. We will not be offering any preschool or children’s ministry for the time being. Children will have access to an activity bag during the service. They can pick it up at the kids table.

1. Please bring a face mask and chair for everyone in your household. Everyone age 2 years and older needs to wear a face mask. We will have chairs available for those who are unable to bring their own.

2. We ask everyone to maintain social distancing between households of 6ft at all times and avoid physical contact with others.

3. Areas will be sanitized before, during, and after each service.

4. All Bethel buildings will be closed and there will be outdoor portable toilets with hand washing stations. There will be a handicap accessible portable toilet at each campus.

5. We encourage those who are vulnerable, sick, or simply not comfortable coming back to church, to continue worshiping with us online.

6. We are asking you to take precautions before arriving. If you are not feeling well, have a fever of 100.4 degrees or more, or believe you may have been exposed to COVID in the last two weeks, please join us online.
