Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
As ministers of Jesus, we are called to serve and love others in the church, in our community and around the world. We call this Ministry on The Pathway
What is your ministry? How are you loving and serving others using your spiritual gifts and abilities?
At Bethel, we are committed to helping you discover God’s purpose for you. God has shaped you and given you spiritual gifts, passions, and abilities that will enable you to do the “good works” that He wants you to do. He created you, He prepared a path just for you to walk on to fulfill His purpose for you. That is how intimate our God is.
Do you have a knack for technology, there is a place to serve in the church? Are you passionate about middle school students learning who God made them to be? There is a whole middle school ministry full of students waiting for you.
Do you love to write, work in the yard, facilitate groups, lead kids to Jesus in worship, cook, organize, walk alongside someone who is hurting, reach across cultures, or love acting? These are just a few of the possibilities.
Anything you can think of, any ability you have ... it can be used to love and minister to others.
We want to follow Jesus in everything we do, and using our gifts and abilities to serve Him in the church, minister to our region, and around the world is important in our walk with Him.
And the wonderful part is that we get to serve together in community. Yes, life is better together and serving together helps us grow as we encourage each other to follow Jesus in loving and serving others.
Even if you don’t know your spiritual gifts, or where you would like to serve, please don’t let that stop you from pursuing this step on The Pathway.
