Healing our Deepest Wounds: Untying the Knots of the Heart

posted by Bethel Care & Compassion | Jul 1, 2019

Do you feel stuck in your relationship with God? Or maybe you are overwhelmed by emotional pain or past experiences that you can’t break free from. Broken trust, difficult life experiences, and trauma all impact us at our deepest level and leave a lasting impact on our view of God, others, and ourselves. We can feel disconnected, anxious, broken, or hopeless. Untying the Knots of Heart (UTK) helps to bring healing and restoration found in the Gospel to our deepest hurts by helping us understand our need for connection and how God has a plan to restore our brokenness from within.

UTK is a 22-week small group experience that uniquely walks people through their spiritual, cultural, and family backgrounds. Through this process, participants will identify lies that are influencing them, and learn how to see themselves and others through the eyes of a compassionate, loving, grace-filled Heavenly Father. Each week includes a video portion, experiential learning opportunities, and time for discussion in gender-specific groups. Using solid biblical principles and teaching, weekly homework helps participants dive deeper into issues surrounding identity, emotions, trust, forgiveness, boundaries, and relational patterns.

This is a co-ed class that is an excellent resource for couples wanting to understand each other’s backgrounds and find deeper healing and freedom in relationship with God and others. UTK is also a good fit for individuals looking to heal from childhood trauma, divorce, loss, or for those who feel “stuck” in their relationship with God.

This class will start back up on September 9th and will run Monday evenings through February. Cost is $60 and childcare is available (at an additional cost).
