- Life Stages
Hearing these words can abruptly turn your world upside down. Your life is suddenly consumed with doctor appointments and treatment schedules, all while dealing with overwhelming emotions; shock, disbelief, fear, anger, sadness and a sense of loss. Women who have received this diagnosis embark on a journey of becoming cancer survivors. Learning to live with a potentially life threatening disease is a significant physical, emotional, social, and spiritual challenge. It sometimes represents the greatest challenge to one's faith.
The purpose of Thrive is to provide Christ-centered support for women going through the roller-coaster ride that a cancer diagnosis carries. It brings together women to talk about their needs and feelings as they face the common struggle of living with cancer. We provide a safe place to share your feelings and challenges, and to learn from others who have traveled this journey before. We discuss topics such as living with strong feelings, challenges to faith, changing perspectives, and will include guest speakers.
No matter where you are on your cancer journey, newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, having a recurrence or been cancer free for some time, we invite you to join us for loving support, encouragement, understanding, and the hope that faith, prayer and Jesus Christ can bring.
Let’s THRIVE together!
Written by a Bethel GriefShare volunteer, this is a letter to anyone who may be struggling with honestly sharing difficult emotions this holiday season in the midst of grief and loss.
The holiday season is right around the corner and if you are grieving the loss of a loved one, you might find yourself wishing you could just avoid the holidays all together and wake up once they were over ...
A fellowship of women with loved ones suffering from addiction who share their experience, strength, and hope by practicing the Twelve Steps and giving encouragement to each other through our faith in God.
Chronic pain is often invisible, making it likely to be misunderstood by others. This is where having a Chronic Pain Support Group can make a huge difference. Come and join us to be encouraged, supported, and prayed for!
