Our partnership with Haiti started after the earthquake in 2010. We have been sending teams to Haitian Christian Mission in Fonds Parisian for almost 10 years! Recently, however, we have been sending less and less teams. The main reason for this is the political unrest that has taken over their country. Our partners had to close their campus to mission teams for the rest of the year because of the violence and lack of resources. They are short on food, hospital supplies, gasoline, and even power. The government and the people of Haiti have been fighting since 2017, but it seems to have taken a toll for the worse more recently. You can still see wreckage from fires and riots, bullet holes in buildings, cars and people. But we serve a God of love, justice and mercy! We need to pray for the people of Haiti. They need peace between the people and the government. We also need to be praying for our partners at HCM. They need prayers of safety, resources and strength. We hope to be able to send teams down there again to help minister to the people who have lost hope.
