Serving in Local Outreach

posted by Bethel Local Outreach | Mar 4, 2019

There are a variety of ways you, your family, and/or your small group can serve at Bethel through our Local Outreach ministry.

Serving opportunities are divided into three categories:
One-Time Bethel Events
Ongoing Bethel Helps
Care and Compassion Events and Outreach Teams

One-Time Bethel Events:  These are events that happen once a year, and reach a larger number of people in need.  Examples of one-time Bethel events include:  Night to Shine special needs prom, Christmas for Everyone toy store, Thanksgiving Food Baskets, Operation Christmas Child, and our School Supplies drive.  Hundreds of servers are needed for these events and more.  Look for more information to be posted at least 6 weeks prior to events!

February:  Night to Shine prom
June:  Adopt a Veteran "We Care" projects
July: Textbook to Freedom (jail ministry outreach)
August:  School Supplies Drive
November:  Operation Christmas Child, Thanksgiving Food Baskets
December:  Christmas for Everyone toy store

Ongoing Bethel Helps:  There are many smaller ways that we serve our Bethel family and our community.  These include: Orphan Care, Bethel Assistance Ministry, Flash Mob Bless, Rock the Block, Veteran's Appreciation,  School outreaches, and more!  Look for more information in the "Highlight" and "Updates" sections.

CCE&O Teams:  These are ongoing teams that are willing to help as needs arrive in our church and our community.  Currently there are nine serve groups that are accessed as needs arise:  Decorations, Hospitality, Administration, Handy Man, One Anothers, Veterans, Special Needs, Photography, Bilingual Communications and Jail Ministry.
