Dear Pasco congregation,
As you all know, we shared with you several months ago that I felt that the time had come for us in Pasco to bring in a new younger Campus Pastor. Since that time, the West Pasco elder board has been working hard, praying and interviewing candidates from all over the States.
We are excited to tell you that we have narrowed our search to one candidate. His name is Adam Phillips. If that name sounds familiar to you, it probably is. Adam’s father, Tim, was the founding pastor of the West Pasco campus. Adam was a part of that founding. He was the first youth coordinator and part of the first worship team as well.
Our process to hire a campus pastor is for the specific campus elder board to do the front-line work of interviewing and selecting the candidate. That (successful) candidate is then interviewed by the Bethel elder board (the board that is over all three campuses and campus elder boards) who make the final decision to hire.
However, before that decision is announced, the candidate is presented to the congregation so that people can hear him and interact with him. That is where you come in. This coming Saturday, the 22nd, at 5:30 PM we will have a “Meet and Greet” with Adam and his family. The event will be held under the tent in Richland. Adam and the Pasco elder board will share at the meeting. You will have the opportunity to ask Adam questions.
You will need to bring your own chair to sit on. And, as usual, we will need to follow all the normal Covid guidelines, so make sure everybody brings their masks. Please see the Bethel guidelines below.
If you have a question that you would like to submit to be asked of Adam please email it to email@example.com
We will get to as many of your questions as time permits. Please submit questions by 4:00pm on Friday Aug. 21.
I know that it has been a rough road for all churches over the last four months, including ours. It would be great to have a good turnout of our Pasco people showing up this Saturday and providing us with the feedback that we need. We really want to hear from you. This is a chance to play a part in our potential future.
Thank you, Pasco! I hope to see many of you this Saturday.
